THE LEVEL OF HATE FOR OBAMA
According to the Daily Mail, Dube Egwuatu was buying a cell phone card when a British white skinhead with a gun confronted him for wearing a ‘Believe’ Obama shirt.
The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting “I f***ing hate n*****s” and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him, according to the paper. …
Trying to prevent a confrontation with the irate man threatening violence with a gun, Egwuatu even zipped up his jacket to cover the image of Obama and walked to his car. The suspect, who has not been captured, shot a gas-powered ball-bearing pistol three times, hitting the victim in the face, hand and shoulder.
Egwuatu survived and raced away in his car for help. A piece of metal from the bullet had to be removed from his jaw.

This is just sad. Surprise surprise that the shooter hasn’t been caught yet. I wonder how much actual investigating is actually being done in this case? I never knew the level of hatred for Obama was this high. Taking someone’s life for wearing a t-shirt you don’t agree with? That’s more than crazy-it’s racist! I bet if Egwuatu had been wearing a McCain/Palin t-shirt, the shooter probably would’ve shaken his hand or something. SMDH.
its incredible that someone will get shot by supporting a cause, also i cant believe that someone will shoot a person over a POLITICIAN FROM DA OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD wow just crazy,
I want to find it hard to believe that this could happen but unfortunately I don’t. Please consider the source though, the “Daily Mail” is the National Enquirer of Europe therefore we should all look to see if more legitimate news organizations are reporting this also.
I am from Italy, this guy was shot in the Uk. But i can tell you the the support for Obama in Italy, and European countries in general is GREAT. Of course there is gonna always be racist people in the world but this does not in anyway reflect on our support for Obama in the UK, Italy, Spain etc.

It’s unfortunate that this happened, but it shows that racism is alive and well in 2008 all over the world! We’ve come a long way, but there are still people out there who can’t stand the idea of a black President. As far as the t-shirts are concerned, it was brought to my attention that on election day, each state has it’s own laws about wearing clothing, buttons, etc… that show who you support. They consider it campaigning, and it is illegal if you come within a certain distance of the voting poll, and they can ask you leave to change your clothes. That would be a major inconvenience, so please just tell everyone not to wear their Obama paraphenalia to the polls, cause they’re just waiting for an excuse to turn someone around. Wear your Obama shirts the next day after he wins!!! 🙂
It really hurts my heart to hear about something like this happening but Im not surprised at all. I was actually expecting something like this to happen sooner or later. I anticipate that these kinds of HATE CRIMES will happen more after Obama becomes president. Im still going to wear my Obama t-shirt but just be very mindful of the types of people that I put myself around because there are alot of people in the U.S. that just aren’t ready for a black president even though he is the right man for the job. Its a shame that people would rather stand behind McCain because he is a white man knowing that he is going to make things in America worse than they already are.
I have to come back to remind Americans this happened in England, not America and i would agree with Tracy that the “Daily Mail” is not the most creditable source, (not saying what they said isn’t true) but they are the type of paper that would tell you the sky is falling if they thought it would bring in readers (keep that in mind). They are notorious liars in Europe. Not to sound anti-American, but i don’t think Americans should have an opinion about this, since most of you aren’t familiar with what happens in Europe and i think America would blow this outta proportion. Here in Italy i see MANY people wear their “Italia per Obama” t-shirts and non of us have been killed, or threatened because Obama is heavy favorite to win, and yes we care about what happens in America because it effects the whole world.
There is racism every were, but i lived in America so i know its a bigger issue there, but its apart of the American culture that hasn’t been dealt and completely healed. It is on all sides (black, white, hispanic, asian there’s racist people in all races). But to give Americans an idea that its not as big an issue in Europe that people are making it out to be, the skinhead types in places like Italy are the minority (85% of people hate those skin headed bastardos and their fascist ideas). Spain and Germany are the worst when it comes to racist and even the majority of them are supporting Obama, check the European polls. So its not like every person is out to get everyone wearing an Obama shirt, maybe in America.. but again, this didn’t happen in America and world wide Obama is loved. These people that do stuff like this are called mentally ill more then anything else. Glad to see Europeans are not being demonized for this, because as i said Obama has the overwhelming majority support in all major European countries.
