Obama was elected last night as our first Black President.
Where were you when it was announced? What were your feelings?
Do you think this is a sign that America is changing?

I was so excited. I cried, I was amazed to see so many youngs adults such as myself. Mostly the young men.
I was at home but I cried and partied like it did’nt have to work in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a great day in the lives of us African- Americans beccause this shows my sons that if they put there minds to it they can do or be anything they can dream of.
I’m located in Denver, CO, one of the states that went from a red state to a blue state. I cried and told my son “gone are the days when someone asks you what do you want to be when you grow up and you say President of the United States, and they say to do something else because there will never be a black president.” I’m so proud of EVERY American that stood up to change. MAY GOD BLESS BARACK OBAMA AND PROTECT HIM.
This has been the best experience of my life. At 11:03 i was with out at Lotus and when Barack was annouced as the winning all we could do was cry and hug each other. To know i lived to see a african American president is trully a blessing.
I listen to your station on the internet every work day. I live in Omaha, NE, where last night they voted to end affirmation action. My family moved here in 1964 from Montgomery, AL. I was so proud to watch this historial event unfold with my family. I let my 11 year old daughter mark my ballot, my 18 year old daughter voted for the 1st time. My son had told me last month, that if Obama can be president, so can he. I was tears in my proud husband eyes. He took today off because he declared it a holiday. My family marched and rode on the back of the buses in Montgomery, so that my kids could witness the history of the first black president. Jesse Jackson cried and I did too.
I want to say that I listen to your show everyday from my computer in Louisville, Ky…I am at a loss for words what this election means for us as a country, the unity that was shown… and I want to say that I am proud of all of the young, old, everyone who stood in the long lines and committed to being a part of history…Now let’s keep our president elect lifted up in prayer and keep him and his family safe during this transition and journey…God bless you all
I am so proud of America right now. Last night I did not party because my fiance was ill with bronchitis so we watched the tv. Obama and his family looked so beautiful, tall, intelligent and ready to lead. I cried like a school girl because all day I thought that McCain would have done a dirty trick to win! He did and WE DID win!
However, this is the first step in a series of many, long steps ahead! Please keep Obama and his family in your prayers! Today is a wonderful, glorious day!

I took Nov 4th off just to vote, after I voted I went home and watched CNN the entire day until 2am. When they announced that Barack had won I cried and thought it was a dream. I woke up the next morning earlier than the norm with a funny feeling in the pit of my stomack becuase I thought it was a dream. I turned on the TV and to my suprise it was not a dream Barack Obama is our 44th President of the United States. Oh what joy. Now we can never ever say that it is because of the white man why we cant succeed. Nothing is impossible in the US of A. I thank GOD that I lived to see this historic event take place and I am forever greatfull! THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!
