#3 – President and First Lady Obama made a surprise visit to a DC charter school yesterday and spent some time reading to the children.:
The Obamas were at the Capital City Public Charter School in northwest Washington Tuesday. The president told a group of gleeful second-graders: “We were just tired of being in the White House.” A moment earlier the president shook each child’s hand.

#2 – Looks like someone is calling Diddy out on something. He recently made statements that DJs are killing hip-hop with their lack of creativity. Well, DJ Doo Wop is saying that Diddy is being a hypocrite when he makes statements like that. According to THE URBAN DAILY:
Speaking directly to Diddy, the longtime New York deejay said Diddy’s power allows him to tremendously influence the deejay game.
Doo Wop said, “Are these deejays [you’re] referring to the same and very well selected deejays that influential people such as yourself personally empower to spin your ‘new single’ first, while the so called ‘deejays with style’ gets it last and probably from a radio rip where YOUR DJ OF CHOICE already played it?”
Responding to Diddy’s profession that “Deejays don’t expose you to newness,” Doo Wop responded by asking, “When’s the last time you used that undeniable Diddy influence to help (as you say), a ‘deejay with style’ get a radio spot since you’re so disappointed at the state of the radio game?”
#1 – Erykah Badu and boyfriend Jay Elelectronica have released the name of their new baby girl. They decided to name her Mars Merkaba. No, I’m not being funny and trying to sell you candy bars. That’s the actual name of this child. But, when you consider that Mars’s siblings are named Seven and Puma, I guess she’ll fit right on in. Congrats to Erykah andJay on the birth of their healthy little girl.
