He was recently honored by MTV as one the Top 10 Hottest MC’s In The Game. With his ascent through the game and the charts, Wale’s ambition seems to be both the gift and the curse. Although many people would die to change places with Wale, all that glitters ain’t gold and the spotlight is not everything it seems to be.
With a grueling schedule juggling studio time, interviews, appearances and concerts, Wale admits he gets no more than three hours of sleep a night! But he understands this is what comes with the territory and has to keep grinding until he’s made enough of a mark on the industry.
“It’s like building a house, it’s hard, once you finish it you can sit back and relax … but I’m still building right now.”
