First Lady beauty Michelle Obama cracked a few late night jokes about her presidential husband on the Colbert Show….
Michelle Obama, appeared on The Colbert Report Wednesday night and joked with host Stephen Colbert about her undeniable popularity. “You are popular,” Colbert said. “Do you lord over the president the fact that you’re more popular than he is? Do you ever say, like, ‘Hey, watch it or I might not campaign for you?'” Looking stunningly beautiful she laughed and insinuated that she might consider pulling the popularity card the next time she clashes with her husband, President Barack Obama. She jokingly said “might try that when [she gets] home!”
When asked if she was officially endorsing her hubby in the upcoming election she said, “I am endorsing my husband Barack Obama,” she said. “I think he will be a phenomenal president: he has been a phenomenal president. He’s my man.”
The real intent of her visit was to discuss the anniversary of her “Joining Forces” initiative designed to honor U.S. troops and their families, particularly by helping find employment for veterans returning from war. “We have seen people hiring our veterans and finding wonderful flexible opportunities for spouses because employment is a key issue for these families,” Mrs. Obama said.
Highlighting that unemployment for returning veterans is above the national average, she told Stephen Colbert, “We’re seeing it decrease at some pretty significant rates.”
“But until we get it to zero, we still have a lot of work to do. …These people are bringing in skills that actually improve the bottom line of companies because these are some of the most highly trained, highly skilled, disciplined people that we have in our society, the best this country has to offer. So we all need to do our part.”
