[WATCH] METTA-WORLD-PEACE THROWING BOWS! WAS IT AN ACCIDENT?
Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest was the topic of twitter last night (Apr.22), after the Queensbridge native threw a vicious elbow that hit Thunder player, James Harden. The not so peaceful event has raised questions as to whether Artest should be suspended. The elbow was so extreme it knocked James Harden down on the gym floor and he rolled around in obviously excruciating pain.
The Lakers star was celebrating a dunk by pounding his chest and swinging his arms wildly when he hit Harden in the head. Artest is maintaining that it was an accident and he was just caught up in the moment. Judging from the footage, it’s hard to tell.

I think it definitely was an accident of sorts. Because he never ever looked at/or in Harden’s direction. That man has problems. Very real problems and always has. But as he’s gotten older you can tell from the lack of incidents that he’s had, that he’s gotten help at some point. But it’s a continual thing. He has to stay on top of whatever help he’s receiving prescription and session-wise (assuming he’s getting one or both).
He definitely should be suspended though and will be. I mean hopefully they don’t levy some insane penalty against him. But some form of punishment is definitely coming regardless.
