Just when you thought you’d seen and heard it all….then there’s this! Lady drinks 80 ounces of urine …daily!!!
The Learning Channel’s appropriately titled “My Strange Addiction”, features unique individuals across the country who have very interesting…no….very WEIRD addictions. Case-in-point, Carrie, a 53-year-old who’s battling cancer and believes urine will help to heal her. She hasn’t seen a doctor in 6 years and therefore has no medical proof that here urine therapy will cure her cancer, but she is confident that she is doing the right thing. Not only does she drink her own urine, but she also bathes in it, washes her eyes in it and even brushes her teeth with it!
“I like warm pee. It’s comforting,” Carrie explained in a sneak peek of the episode. “The first time I drank my urine, I didn’t throw up and it wasn’t horrible. So I thought, ‘You know what? I can do this.’ My urine does smell, depending on what I eat. Sometimes it’s salty; sometimes (it) tastes like plum champagne.” And after taking a big gulp, she says “Hmmm a little lemony!”
“You can taste different things going through your body and there are certain things I don’t like to eat anymore, because they don’t taste good recycled,” she said. “I love, love, love asparagus. I won’t eat it anymore. It makes the urine taste … oooh, really bad.”
