UPDATE (2/13 1:45pm): The stuff just keeps pouring in. Now it seems that all of Breezy’s accused jumpoff text message partners (Paris Hilton, Leona Lewis, and Keisha Chante) are speaking out, saying they weren’t the ones that texted Breezy on that fateful night. According to BOSSIP:

I did not have text with that singer!

With news leaking about a “booty text” about hooking up with Chris Brown causing the Saturday late-night fight between him and Rihanna, stars are stepping forward to deny textual activity.

Paris Hilton shot down a report that she was “all over” Chris at a party, telling Radaronline.com: “I said hello and that was it. I love Rihanna, and that never happened.”

Leona Lewis also denies anything happened after they chatted at a party on Saturday.

Leona’s record label spokesperson tells E! News that she was at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party with her family and boyfriend and had nothing to do with any fight between Chris and Rihanna. And any allegations that the pair flirted at Clive’s party are “completely false.”

So there.

Also doing the “I did not have text” dance is singer and actress Keisha Chanté.

“She was nowhere near Rihanna or Chris Brown,” her manager told E! “She had nothing to do with any of that.”

 

UPDATE (2/13 1:41 pm): As EZ Street reported yesterday, Chris Brown and Rihanna have been ordered by LAPD to stay in Los Angeles while the investigation is going on. To add a new wrinkle to the story, it turns out that LAPD is is investigating whether an eye injury incurred by Rihanna was caused by Breezy:

According to police sources, the Barbados-born singer, 20, suffered a scratched cornea last year and began wearing a patch to cover her red and sensitive eye.

It is thought she then incorporated the accessory into her stage costume — including the glittering diamond-encrusted version she sported at the 2008 American Music Awards.

Umbrella star Rihanna suffered a bloody nose, swollen lip and facial bruising in an alleged bust-up with 19-year-old R ‘n’ B star Brown before last Sunday’s Grammy awards.

Los Angeles cops are now probing an alleged history of violent rows between the pair and claims of possible abuse in the past.

A police source said: “We’re investigating if her eye injury could have been caused by Brown.

“There could be an innocent explanation — but police believe Rihanna has previously refused to make a complaint against Brown. She is now being asked about her past injuries and is beginning to open up about incidents in their relationship.”

An LAPD source said: “We’re talking to her friends and management, who say she’s appeared with mysterious marks or injuries before, but always refused to explain what happened.

UPDATE (2/12 1:31pm): The story continues to unfold. Now it seems that this was not the first incident of violence between Rihanna and Chris. According to BOSSIP:

Chris Brown and Rihanna seemed like the perfect couple on the outside, but after his recent arrest for felony battery, we’ve learned that it wasn’t the first time Chris raised a hand on her.

According to Police reports, Rihanna claims that Chris has hit her in the past and she referred to it as an ongoing and escalating abusive relationship.

When Rihanna first spoke to LAPD she refused to tell them what started the argument that night. We’ve now learned that it was the result of another woman sending Chris a text message about meeting up later on in the night.

During the argument, according to the police report, she ordered him to drive her home and “faked a call” to someone, saying things like, “He’s dropping me off. Make sure the cops are there,” reports TMZ. This enraged Chris.

He then said something to the effect of “You are really fu**ed up now. I’m going to kill you.” That’s when Chris allegedly began his violent attack with his fists.

At some point during the attack Rihanna took the car keys out of the ignition and threw them outside. He reportedly went outside to look for them, and returned back to the car and allegedly choked her. That’s when she lost consciousness and a witness called 911.

Based on Rihanna’s statement and her injuries Chris will definitely face a felony domestic battery charge, but it’s unclear at this time whether or not that’s the only charge he’ll get because evidence that he made criminal threats against Rihanna is kind of thin.

It’s not looking too good for Breezy if we go by this information. But, just like the rest of the information being released, it doesn’t tell us officially what went down between them. We’re all going to have to wait for the trial or for either Breezy or Rihanna to release official statements. Don’t worry though because you got us here at the EZ Street Show covering this non-stop to keep you up on the latest.

UPDATE (2/12 10:10am): LAPD is taking the allegations being made in the Chrihanna Assault Case very seriously. According to EURWEB:

We are told by a source close to the investigation that police may suggest attempted murder charges against Brown when the case is handed over to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. As previously reported, the LAPD presented their case against Brown to the DA, but a spokeswoman said county prosecutors are asking detectives to investigate further.
“In my opinion, either [the cops] have conflicting stories and not enough evidence, or the DA is debating whether to file this as misdemeanor or felony battery,” defense attorney Steve Cron explained to the New York Daily News. “If you have a scratch or a bruise, that’s more in the realm of misdemeanor. If you have a cut that requires stitches, bruising showing multiple blows, a broken bone or a chipped tooth, that’s more felony.”

The picture on the left has been flying all over the Internet with the tag that it is Rihanna on the day of the assault. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE! The pic was created using Photoshop and the real image on the right. The authentic picture was taken months ago. The truth is bad enough in this story, people, so there’s no need to add crazy lies to the situation.

UPDATE (2/11 2:21pm) ((RUMOR)): Rihanna’s friends are now saying that they have been concrened about her since December. According to BOSSIP:

Brown — who is currently being investigated by Los Angeles county prosecutors after Rihanna allegedly accused him of assaulting her the night before the Grammys — always had a “volatile” relationship with the singer, an insider tells Us. (Us Mag)

A Rihanna confidant adds that bruises were clearly visible on the singer’s neck in early December.

Alarmed, “I asked is everything was OK with her and Chris,” says the pal. “She told me, ‘We broke up again.’ I didn’t pursue the issue further.”

Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s sister Lytrell Bundy is saying the complete opposite. According to BOSSIP:

While he remains out of public sight, Chris Brown’s family is coming to his defense after his arrest on Sunday for allegedly making criminal threats to his girlfried Rihanna and reportedly hitting her.

“He’s always been a good boy. Never violent,” Chris’ sister Lytrell Bundy tells Extra.

As for how Chris is coping right now with the frenzy of activity surrounding his arrest and subsequent realse on $50K bail, his sister says he’s okay.

“He’s doing good,” she says. “He’s coping… He’s doing as to be expected.”

UPDATE (2/11 11:52am): ((RUMOR))It’s looking like Chris Brown may end up serving no jail time at all in this whole fiasco. According to THEYBF:

Our friends in the L.A. division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office (who actually takes on most of the cases of the Los Angeles County District Attorney) tell us Chris Brown very likely won’t be popped with any jail time after the assault fall out with Rihanna. Why, you ask? We’re told the LAPD & D.A.’s office tend to fall back on domestic violence cases. Apparently if couples are attempting to work problems out themselves, victims historically become more forgiving, therefore leading to them dropping charges. Of course, other types of consequences are pretty likely. Very interesting…

In other news, LAPD sent the DA’s office all the evidence they had against Chris; however, the DA’s office sent the case back to the LAPD. We’re told the reasoning is not only to “work on it more”, but at this time there is currently not enough evidence to charge Chris with. Apparently the D.A.’s office was attempting to nab him with domestic violence, battery, and a whole slew of other charges.

And LAPD now confirms that Chris Brown received a text message from a woman while he was driving with Rihanna and that’s what started the confrontation that left Rihanna battered and bruised. The person who texted Chris is NOT a rapper, even though a rapper is spoken about in the police report.

UPDATE (2/11 11:18am): As I was writing the update below, more info came to me, so you know I had to hook y’all on up. According to TMZ, a text message sparked the brawl between Chris and Rihanna:

Law enforcement sources confirm to TMZ Chris Brown received a text message from a woman while he was driving with Rihanna and that’s what started the confrontation that left Rihanna battered and bruised.

We’re told the text message was from a woman who wrote about hooking up with Brown later.

We’ve also learned there is a reference in the police report to an argument over a rapper, but we’ve learned this is NOT what triggered the argument. The woman who text messaged Brown is not a rapper.

As for Rihanna’s injuries, we continue to learn more. Cops took multiple pictures at the scene. Chris Brown allegedly hit Rihanna so hard with his fists, she could barely open her eyes for the photos — they were almost completely swollen shut. She had a fat lip, her mouth was swollen, her nose was badly bloodied, and she had contusions on her forehead and both sides of her face.

UPDATE (2/11 11:15am): As we reported earlier, Rihanna is cooperating with police. In case you missed it, here’s what she’s saying:

A source close to the investigation tells E! News exclusively that Rihanna has alleged to police that Brown choked her while threatening to kill her and, subsequently, she lost consciousness.

They began squabbling after leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party late Saturday. Shortly after midnight, things blew up. Brown pulled his silver Lamborghini to the side of a street in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood. That’s when, per the source, Rihanna grabbed the car keys and tossed them out the window, sending Brown into a rage.

He tried in vain to find the keys, then came back to the car, put his hands around her neck and, according to the insider, said, “I’m going to kill you!”

According to the source, the 20-year-old “Disturbia” singer told police that she lost consciousness, and when she awoke, Brown had fled.

According to the source, her right eye was blackened and badly swollen and she had hand prints on her arms. The responding officers were so concerned about her, they drove Rihanna to the hospital in their squad car instead of waiting for an ambulance.

Officers took two sets of photographs of the banged-up singer, one at the scene and the second after she was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment. Those photos were presumably among the evidence presented to the district attorney.

In related news, Rihanna’s grandmother has released a statement saying that Rihanna is fine:

Rihanna’s grandmother says the singer wants to make sure the people of her native Barbados know she’s “OK.

“I don’t want people to worry. Rihanna is fine and she is doing well,” Clara Brathwaite tells Barbados’ Daily Nation newspaper.

Brathwaite denies that Rihanna — who intends to travel back to Barbados to be with her family — has a broken nose.

UPDATE (2/11 9:37am): Well, it looks like the feds aren’t the only ones that want a piece fo Chris Brown. Jay-Z’s looking for him too now, and we all know that can’t be a good sign for Breezy. According to BOSSIP:

CHRIS BROWN is set to incur the wrath of hip-hop king JAY-Z over his alleged assault on R&B star RIHANNA. Brown was arrested on Sunday (08Feb09) for felony battery after an incident with an as yet unidentified woman, reported to be Rihanna, in a vehicle in Los Angeles.
And Jay-Z, who discovered and mentored Rihanna, was reportedly enraged upon hearing the allegations, warning of retributions for Brown. A source tells Us Weekly magazine, “He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”

Other celebrities have been speaking out about the Chrihanna case as well:
KANYE WEST: “I saw them at Clive’s [the night before]. I know Rihanna a bit better because I went on tour with her and we really vibed out on a lot of creative ideas. With the touring, I gave all these reference of Graces Jones and Jean Paul-Goude. Back in the 80’s when pop stars just took it to a whole ‘nother level. I really feel that Rihannais so important to our culture and pop music. I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level at her age and the songs she does and her style and her performance and her voice. “She has the potential to be the biggest artist of all time. In that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do anything and everything not help her in any situation. I don’t want to speak too much on it but I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard to the point that I Was completely devastated during my “American Boy” performance (with Estelle during the Grammy’s) “It’s so devastating. As a person, I don’t care how famous she is or if she just worked at McDonald’s, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.”

T.I.: Chris is “a little concerned”: “Yeah, I spoke to him today. He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but he’s still the same Chris. Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us…Don’t expect us not to make mistakes ‘cause we will.” UPDATE: T.I. has since retracted this statement, saying he should have gotten all the information before he started talking about it.

UPDATE (2/10 9:15 pm): Chris Brown’s former stepfather spoke with Access Hollywood about the whole assault case against Breezy. Keep in mind that this is the same former stepfather that Chris threatened to beat with a baseball bat for abusing his (Breezy’s) mother. He said, ‘“[Chris] has to take responsibility for his own actions,” Hawkins told Access.
Then, when they asked if he believed reports about the alleged incident involving Brown were true, Hawkins said, “I wouldn’t be surprised.” SOURCE

REWIND 2/10: Okay so, we’ve all been following the Chrihanna Assault Scandal very closely, but there are still some people that are confused as to what took place that led up to the assault. So, here’s a review of what we know courtesy of ALLHIPHOP.COM:

Here is today’s rundown from another source. Remember, these rumors are especially interesting, because they all come from different places, but are surprisingly consistent.
According to unverified sources, Rihanna and Chris Brown broke up two weeks ago. Rihanna didn’t want to break up with Chris, but he was reportedly done with her. Management forced him to act “lovey” for the Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party. He didn’t want to. Rihanna’s publicist, in confidence, asked him to the same. He agreed. They attended the Clive Davis party together. Management allegedly asked for Chris to drive with Rihanna in his car after the event was over for paparazzi pictures.

According to my sources, Rihanna started acting like they were in a relationship still, not realizing that it was indeed completely over. Chris told her he wasn’t really with her, it was for publicity and that she needed to get it through her head that it was over. Adding insult to injury – like my previous source said – Chris picked up a girl he had a date with that night WHILE Rihanna was in the car. So, the girl was in the car like a third WHEEL.

It would appear that Chris has completely moved on from Rihanna from this new girl. My source tells me that Chris was actually acting very childish for doing his in front of Rihanna. Suddenly, Rihanna snapped and that’s the situation got crazy, my sources say. Rihanna allegedly punched Chris in the face while she was screaming, and then he hit started hitting her back. Noticing there was blood, somebody called 911 and my sources say “the girl” is the one that made that call.

UPDATE (1:05 pm 2/10: Chris Brown’s legal camp says Rhianna started the fight between her and Brown. According to BOSSIP:

Bossip just received the real story of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s fight from a highly placed source in the Chris Brown legal camp:

They were in the car leaving the Clive Davis party. While Chris was driving, he got a phone call from a young lady. Our source tells us that Rihanna knew that Chris had been messing around with this particular girl and she has, as of late, been the reason for many of their heated arguments. Rihanna got a glimpse of the phone, saw the name and number and immediately recognized who it was. She went ballistic and began to “beat the sh*t” out of Chris (while driving). She was so uncontrollable, that Chris began to fight back in self defense, which ensued the fight. Rihanna’s rage stemmed from Chris’ questionable fidelity in the last few months.

UPDATE (9:44 am 2/10): The drama continues today. Looks like Chris Brown is headed for the East Coast:

HipHollywood has learned that Chris Brown has boarded a private plane headed to the East Coast. The move comes less than 24 hours after Brown was released on $50,000 bond for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna. The destination of Brown’s flight has not been made public.

And, as reported yesterday, the police are saying that Breezy really did a number on Rhianna:

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us… police took pictures of Rihanna’s injuries and they are “horrific.” As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face — there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers. And we now know this… Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that’s what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack. Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We’re told the photos alone are “devastating proof of abuse.” And we’ve learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

UPDATE (3:08 pm): Some new pics have surfaced of Chrihanna right before the incident happened. Also, according to TMZ:

Wrigley said in a statement, “We have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”
The company would not go as far as saying they are dropping him completely, saying Brown should be “afforded the same due process as any citizen.”

UPDATE (1:20 pm): According to TMZ:

Law enforcement sources tell us even though the police report in the Chris Brown arrest refers to assault with a deadly weapon, there was no weapon involved in the alleged attack.

The police report cites Penal Code Section 245 — Assault with a Deadly Weapon. However, we’re told there was no weapon involved.

We had been hearing there was an umbrella in the car — which would have been the most ironic thing ever — but again… no weapon is alleged.

One law enforcement source who has been dead on so far claims Rihanna suffered contusions and bite marks.

UPDATE (12:00 pm): Rhianna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon. The crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon, but we don’t know as of now what the weapon was. The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty, which is Rihanna’s real name. SOURCE

UPDATE (10:05 a.m.): According to TMZ.COM, Rhianna has been identified by LAPD officials as having been the victim in the Chris Brown assault case.
UPDATE: Rhianna has been identified as the female Chris Brown assaulted! Apparently, Rhi Rhi and Breezy got into an altercation early Sunday morning after a pre-Grammy party. The end result was Breezy assaulting Rhianna.

“She got out of the car to walk home. He got out to stop her,” said a source. “Things got physical. He hit her, possibly more than once. She had multiple bruises.”
Police said the fight took place about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the affluent Hancock Park neighborhood. “Brown and the woman were inside of a vehicle,” said LAPD spokeswoman April Harding. “According to the victim they became involved in an argument. … The argument escalated into an altercation.” By the time cops responded to the scene following a 911 call, Brown was gone. Brown and Rihanna were seen Saturday night at a pre-Grammy gala hosted by music mogul Clive Davis in Beverly Hills. The two posed for pictures and were spotted kissing before they hopped into a waiting silver Lamborghini.

“They were arguing. Apparently, Rihanna accused him of checking out other women at Clive Davis’ party,” said the industry insider. “It seems she’s taking the steps you’d need to take if you were going to press charges,” added the source. “But she could wake up tomorrow morning and decide she still loves him.” The pop world’s power couple have been dating for more than a year, and rumors have swirled that they were engaged. Yet there were rumblings in recent days about troubles, and sources described the Barbados-born beauty as a clingy girlfriend who can’t bear to have Brown out of her sights.

Chris Brown turned himself into LAPD last night. He was charged with one count felony criminal threats, which means physical violence accompanied verbal threats. His bail was set at $50,000, which he made. Now, it hasn’t been confirmed as of yet that Rhianna was the victim, but there is some serious speculation going on. Plus, the fact that Rhianna was seen at the LAPD police station making the actual booking charges with bruises on her face, it’s not looking too good for Breezy. He is due to appear in court on March 5th.

Sources say the unnamed female in the complaint is superstar Rihanna. According to a Los Angeles Police Department report, officers arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call reporting a disturbance. A woman with visible injuries identified Chris Brown as her attacker. The victim said they were arguing in the car, which escalated when they stopped.
Brown had already left the scene when authorities arrived. Insiders confirm that some kind of incident took place in Hancock Park last night after the couple left the pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton. Same insiders say they are shocked and that “Chris is a good kid, well brought up.”
