JUDGE ALLOWS GUN FOR EVIDENCE IN LIL WEEZY TRIAL

Although Weezy maybe the last rapper to go triple platinum, all is not well for for him. According to HIPHOPDX, A New York City judged says a handgun that was found on Weezy’s tour bus following a 2007 concert can be used as evidence at his trial.

Weezy pleaded not guilty to gun possession and is free on $70,000 bail. Back in July 2007 after a concert at the Beacon Theatre, a police officer claims that, when boarding the tour bus, she smelled marijuana and saw Weezy hide a gun. Weezy’s defense attorney Stacey Richman argued that the officer lied about smelling the marijuana in order to board the bus. Weezy’s court date is set for April 20 and could be facing a maxium of 15 years. We will see after the trial where Weezy stands and the furture of his music.
