It’s no secret that Jay-Z and President Obama have become roll dogs over the past four years, so it comes as no surprise that Jay will be performing at President Obama’s Ohio rally on the eve of Election Day. Just a few a months ago Jay and wifey Beyonce’ helped the Prez raise $4 million dollars for the Obama Camp at a fundraiser at their 40/40 club.
The rally will take place in one of the most important swing states, Ohio, on Monday, November 5 and will also include a performance by all American artist Bruce Springsteen.
When asked about his relationship with the Commander-In-Chief, Jay-Z stated:
“I’m still kind of numb about it. I can’t figure it out, like, how this happened and this journey and everything that’s going on. It’s like way beyond the reach I thought hip-hop had. I knew it was the most powerful music worldwide, the culture itself, but it always amazes me the power that it has. Still, to this day.”
Before Ohio, President Obama will be joining former President Clinton for a rally in in Bristow, VA on Saturday with a performance by Dave Matthews.
