IS NICKI MINAJ CONSIDERING QUITTING 'THE GAME'??!!
While in London, Minaj stopped by Tim Westwood’s radio show and made elusive statements about her potential exit from hip-hop.
Though Nicki is the only female rapper bringing credible numbers, she feels she’s not being given enough recognition and she’s tired of being dismissed.
During her radio interview Nicki referred to herself in the third person throughout.
Minaj told Westwood:
“People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to the essence… This is my fourth mixtape, really. The kid did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game.”
It is highly unlikely that she would leave the industry altogether. In an interview she had with MTV, she stated that she auditioned for this part (her current rapper role) to get to another level in her performance career.
Like many other rappers (namely Queen Latifah, Mark Wahlberg, and Mos Def), acting seems to become the rappers retirement village.
