Nineteeth Street Baptist Church will be holding it’s annual John H. Brinkley Memorial Golf Tournament on June 25, 2012 at the Enterprise Golf Course, Mitchellville, Maryland starting at 9:00 a.m.. All proceeds will go towards supporting various ministries within the church including the youth ministry, homeless ministry as well as the church school. All donations are tax deductible. The deadline for registration is 6/17/2012.

On Thursday June 14, 2012, CYEP will host its fourth Annual Father’s Day Celebration, a jazz benefit concert, entitled “Redefining Fatherhood” to celebrate the important role that fathers play in the home and also in the local community. The jazz concert will take place at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. We are very pleased to announce that Billboard chart topping jazz artist Marcus Johnson will once again lead this celebration by sharing his appreciation for CYEP’s commitment to service in the community.

CYEP’s mission is to provide innovative, high quality, and cost effective programs that address the fatherless home, teen pregnancy prevention, and family dysfunction. We work to strengthen our community by addressing family dysfunction with education and family reunification. CYEP is one of the only community based organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area which focuses on strengthening the family unit by empowering men to take a more active role in their families.

Please come out and celebrate with the CYEP family as we honor fathers and kick-off the Father’s Day weekend.
