THE PREZ PUT IN WORK!: STATE OF THE UNION 2012

The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama- put in WORK last night during his State of the Union address. Though it most definitely was a launching of his 2012 Presidential campaign, the contents and proposed strategies were well conceived.
GO IN FOR THE ENTIRE SPEECH…

The evening began with a heartfelt hug from Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The representative from Arizona, shot in the head by the loon during her public appearance that claimed the life of a nine year old girl-held onto the President that solemnly showed support in spite of all that she’d endured. The Congresswoman will resign within the next few days to focus on recovery.

Of particular note were the President’s committment to 1) bringing jobs stateside, 2) requiring all states to reduce drop out rates in education by mandating that all students continue education until the age of 18 or until graduation, 3) getting jobs for veteran’s and the best of all 4) getting big business out of the pockets of politicians!

Sister Lady Obama looked smashing in the colbalt blue dress that especially spoke to her particular level of regality.

I feel a trend coming on…

Many more motivational proposals were offered during the speech including establishing a consumer watchdog to protect our day to day fiscal function. It all sounds amazing! It will however take all of us to move forward in NATION BUILDING.

FEDS BACK ONLINE AFTER HACKED BY MILITANTS

Techies have waged cyber war on those agencies that have arrested their counterparts in the latest federal SOPA/ PIPA crackdown. The “Hacktivist” collective known as “Anonymous”, took full credit for dismanteling many federal and entertainment sites Thursday after the arrests of leaders of Megaupload.com and shut down the popular hub for illegal media downloads.

According to sources, SwizzBeatz was among those whose site was hacked.

According to the indictment, Megaupload, which launched in 2005, was once the 13th-most visited website on the Internet, serving as a hub for distribution of copyrighted television shows, images, computer software and video games.

The news comes as lawmakers have turned their attention to anti-piracy legislation. Protests erupted both online and offline this week against two bills under consideration in Congress: the House’s Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Senate’s Protect IP Act (PIPA).

The bills are aimed at cracking down on copyright infringement by restricting access to sites that host or facilitate the trading of pirated content. But the legislation has created a divide between tech giants, who say the language is too broad, and large media companies, who say they are losing millions each year to rampant online piracy. (Time Warner, the parent company of CNN, is among the industry supporters of the legislation.)
