This annual meeting of professional black men and women from around the country and beyond, has created a venue where the agendas that are critical to communities of color are thoroughly presented in layman’s terms. It will be very interesting to hear what they have to say this year in light of all that has occurred, namely the highly criticized death recently imposed by the state of Georgia.
The Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) is the premier conference on policy issues impacting African Americans. ALC provides an outlet to highlight the mission of CBCF – to develop leaders, to inform policy and to educate the public. It also provides more than 85 forums to address the critical challenges facing the African-American community. Forums, which are categorized into numerous session tracks to make them easy to find, present high level, thought-provoking, engaging and useful information. Also offered during the four-day event are free health screenings, a job fair, interactive financial sessions, networking and cultural activities.
