FINE PRINT: THE POSTMODERN NOOSE

.

Going to any agency or business that renders a much needed service may mean that an individual may literally sign their life away in exchange for said services. A WORD OF CAUTION: READ THE FINE PRINT!!!

The exchange between the customer and the service representative begins amicably. The customer is greeted with plastic smiles and half hearted banter to ensnare the unsuspecting VICTIM. No mention is made at the beginning of the exchange- of the exorbitant hidden costs that will be added onto the final bill.
All kinds of multiple page forms are pulled out for the customer to sign to ensure that “in case of liability the customer will wait approximately 30 days before reporting any disparity to an outside legal entity”, or “… by signing this affidavit the customer agrees to share all information collected in the current year’s taxes, as well as the customers most recent credit report”.

When the customer refuses to sign any of the forms the representative becomes agitated and becomes a fire breathing dragon who is appalled at the suggestion that their company would do anything to hurt the customer. However, the representative admits to having never read the forms themselves, and has no knowledge of what exactly the forms mean nor the impact the customer will face once they sign. It is the inaliable right of any consumer or person for that matter, to question anything that is skeptical within ANY document that requires their signature, social security number or other vital personal information. Do not ever let business representatives hasten your decision by attempting to make you feel bad for standing up and asking an informed question.

WTH?!?!?! Companies who are supposed to be helping the American people get out of debt and financial crisis are contributing to the perpetual fiscal demolition of each American household frequently.
The next time you open your cell phone bill look at the very bottom. Did you ever at any point WILLINGLY sign up to pay approximately $20 monthly for State taxes/charges, surcharges, and “other fees”? These obscure “financial products” are a crock of boo-kaki if ever there was one.
In essence, we are sick of wasting hard earned money on invisible products and fictional costs. Credit scores are being obliterated by practices that are categorically criminal merely by the fact that they have “corporately pick pocketed” the working person’s wallet.
Email or write your congressman to emphatically oppose the piracy that contributes to the debt that keeps many from ever escaping the postmodern noose.
