It turns out that Papa Knowles (Matthew Knowles, Bey’s father and manager) told Beyone to have Taylor come back out ontot the stage and re-accept her award. It was him, not Beyonce, that was comforting Taylor backstage after the Kanye-Taylor incident and urged Bey to share the shine to remedy the situation.
Among those who did offer support backstage was Beyonce’s dad, Mathew, who comforted Taylor and her family, and arranged the moment in which Beyonce gave Swift a second chance at the spotlight. A spokeswoman for Taylor says she’s been overwhelmed by her fellow musicians’ “kindness, support and generosity.”
