Singer Ashanti and rapper Nelly have reportedly ended their five year relationship. It is being said the the reason for the break up was that Ashanti wanted Nelly to put a ring on it but he wasn’t tyring to hear that.
The New York Daily News reports that Nelly and Ashanti have ended their relationship.

If it were 2004, I’m sure many fans would be sad to hear the news that Nelly and Ashanti have ended their relationship that seem to have come out of nowhere from the start.But in 2009, I imagine most people are like, “Oh they’re still around let alone dating people?”
Alright, let me stop before they both pimp slap me with their royalty checks.
An “insider” (Shi Shi or Murphy Lee?) told the New York Daily News that the two broke up because Ashanti was ready to settle down while Nelly wanted to go out and “sow his wild oats.”
Translation: Ashanti wanted a ring on it and Nelly said “naw deerty.”
He’s a rapper who’s been popular since the start of the decade – how much more sowing does he plan to do?
The couple had reportedly been dating for six years. I don’t think we’ve even seen them together a total of six times, but hey, I guess that both have more time now to rebuild their careers.
